Eastspring Investments
Eastspring Investments, the $269 billion Asia-headquartered asset management business of Prudential plc, has appointed Sean Cunningham (pictured) as head of Capital Markets, effective immediately. Based in Singapore, he will report to Ioannis Kampouris, head of Quantitative Strategies.

In this newly-created role, Cunningham will lead the development of Eastspring’s ETF capital markets function, helping to establish the market infrastructure, market maker relationships and operational capabilities required to help build a scalable and competitive ETF business.

Cunningham has more than 20 years of investment and capital markets experience, with expertise across ETFs, trading, market structure and product development. Most recently, he was head of ETFs for Asia at JP Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for growing the firm’s ETF business across the region. He has also held senior leadership roles at BlackRock iShares and Schroders Investment Management.

“We are delighted to welcome Sean to Eastspring. His deep expertise across ETFs, capital markets and market structure will be instrumental as we build our ETF capabilities and the infrastructure needed to support future growth,” Vis Nayar, chief investment officer, Eastspring Investments, said. â€śActive management in a diverse and dynamic Asia remains our core strength. With evolving client needs and preferences, Sean’s experience will help us broaden access to our investment expertise, strengthen our capabilities and deliver innovative solutions to clients across Asia and beyond. We see this as a strategic and complementary step in our growth journey.”
