BlueBay Asset Management ("RBC BlueBay"), has appointed
Camilla Love (pictured) as head of Australia & New Zealand to
lead its distribution strategy and client engagement across the
region. Based in Sydney, she will report into RBC BlueBay’s head
of distribution, Anthony Pickering.
Love, who has more than 20 years of investment management experience, most recently, founded Alpencrest Capital, overseeing third-party distribution for alternative and capacity-constrained investments as managing partner. The foundation of her career was built on her 20-plus years at Perennial Partners where she spent over five years as managing director of eInvest Australia, launching and leading Australia’s first active exchange-traded fund-only investment brand, overseeing end-to-end operations and managing a team. Prior to starting eInvest for Perennial, Love rose up to the position of head of institutional business development, client service and account management.
Love holds an executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management from UNSW, a bachelor of commerce and BA from the University of Sydney, with majors in marketing, economics and Asian studies. She has completed further postgraduate qualifications in applied finance and investments and management. Love is also the founder of F3, Future Females in Finance, a program fostering the next generation of talent in financial service and designed for young women to uncover what it means to work in the financial services industry.
"Her exceptional track record, extensive network, and proven leadership make her the ideal candidate to drive our growth strategy across Australia and New Zealand,” Pickering said. “Her entrepreneurial spirit and ability to build and scale businesses align perfectly with our ambitious Asia Pacific growth plans in this market."
RBC BlueBay has been present in Australia and New Zealand since 2017, however this strategic appointment represents an inflection point in the business’ commitment to the region, the firm said.
