Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Stewart Investors, Harneys

The latest moves and appointments for senior roles for Asia-Pacific wealth management.

Stewart Investors this week announced the appointment of Elizabeth Trinh as head of institutional distribution, Asia-Pacific, from September.

Building on the firm’s presence in Sydney and Singapore, and in response to the growing institutional demand for sustainability focused investment solutions in the region, Trinh is responsible for driving the Asia-Pacific institutional client strategy for the business.

Trinh joins from American Century Investments, where she spent nearly 14 years in a number of leadership roles across Asia Pacific building out the firm’s presence in the region. Most recently, Trinh was head of American Century Investment Management (Asia-Pacific) where she oversaw the business management of the Hong Kong office and growth across Asia-Pacific across institutional and wholesale channels. In this capacity, she also headed up APAC asset consultant relationships which resulted in multiple successful buy ratings across a number of investment capabilities.

In addition, Trinh led a multitude of ESG initiatives, the firm continued. Prior to that, she worked for Macquarie Bank and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Trinh reports to Mr Hugh O’Neill, Business Head of Stewart Investors in Singapore. She is currently based in Hong Kong and will relocate to Singapore in 2024.

Harneys Fiduciary has appointed Joe Cheung as the managing director of its Hong Kong office. Prior tothis, he managed the Hong Kong office of Equiom, a global private client trust company. He also worked at Vistra and the Sovereign Group.

Cheung has almost 20 years’ of leadership experience in the trust and corporate services industry.

Harneys provides corporate administration, trust and fiduciary services in the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, and Singapore, among other key offshore and onshore locations around the world.
