According to reports in the UK's Financial Times, Goldman Sachs Asset Management is planning the launch of a new range of retail funds. The report specified that the range will include commodities funds as well as long-short investing, tactical asset allocation and currency overlay. Each fund within the range is currently awaiting approval from the Luxembourg financial services regulator for inclusion in the UCITS III regime which allows institutional products to be offered for retail distribution. The new funds range will complement GSAM’s existing Luxembourg-domiciled cross-border funds which currently have around $8 billion under management.
