Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – HKIFA, Standard Chartered

The (HKIFA) has appointed former senior UBS wealth management figure Paula Ip (main picture) as chief executive, with immediate effect.

Ip has more than 30 years of experience in asset management and wealth advisory. She has served in senior roles at leading international financial institutions, including UBS, GAM, ING, and JP Morgan (Chase) Asset Management. Most recently, she served as managing director at UBS, Global Wealth Management, where she oversaw fund advisory and distribution across North Asia.

“We are delighted to welcome Paula as CEO of HKIFA. Her extensive expertise and proven leadership will be instrumental in guiding HKIFA’s next chapter of growth and transformation, fostering collaboration across the fund industry ecosystem, and strengthening our support to Hong Kong’s position as a premier global asset management hub,” HKIFA chairman Sam Yu, said.

Ip added: "I am eager to collaborate closely with members and industry stakeholders to seize new growth opportunities and solidify Hong Kong's position as a super connector and asset and wealth management hub.”

The HKIFA is a non-profit-making trade association that represents the fund management industry in Hong Kong.
