T Rowe Price 
, an asset manager, has appointed Shuai Shao (main picture) as its head of China business. Shuai Shao joined the US-headquartered firm this month. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to George Chow, head of institutional distribution for North Asia.

Prior to this role, Shua Shao was head of Greater China business development at Nomura Asset Management. She also held senior client servicing and business development positions at DWS Group and Amundi. 

Muzinich & Co 
has appointed James Carolan as global head of foreign exchange structuring and solutions, reporting to Flavio Figueiredo, global head of FX at the US bank.

Carolan brings 15 years of industry experience to the bank. Most recently, he served at Deutsche Bank as the head of North Americas corporate macro structuring, global head of deal contingent structuring, and global head of institutional FX structuring. He began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in 2011, moving into markets in 2013.
