M&G Investments Sinclair will be responsible for leading M&G’s institutional distribution strategy in Australia, in particular deepening relationships with institutional asset owners and connecting clients with M&G’s public and private market capabilities, including official institutions, superannuation funds and insurers. He will be based in Sydney, reporting to Amy Cho, head of Asia Pacific. Sinclair, who has more than 25 years of experience in institutional sales and distribution, was previously a co-founder and partner at Invest, where he was involved with capital raising and distribution strategy. Previously, he held senior leadership positions in institutional sales and client relationships across Australia and New Zealand at PGIM and Principal Global Investors. “Australia is one of the most sophisticated and developed pension markets globally, with a strong institutional framework and long-term investment approach. It shares key structural characteristics with the UK, making it a natural market for M&G,” Neil Godfrey, global head of client group, M&G Investments, said. “This enables us to bring our investment capabilities across public and private markets, particularly in areas of credit, real assets, equities and real estate, where M&G has been engaged with Australian investors to help secure differentiated sources of return. Cameron’s appointment strengthens our presence and enhances our ability to deliver these capabilities through deeper, long-term partnerships with clients.” RBC Wealth Management Asia Abhijit Shetty who is joining as managing director and team head, has more than 23 years of private banking experience across major institutions including Citibank, Standard Chartered, DBS and ANZ. He has specialized in building NRI businesses throughout his career. Also joining the team are Sandesh Assao as executive director, senior relationship manager, and Sudarshan V Athreya as MD, senior relationship manager. Assao brings over 20 years of private banking experience from Bank of Singapore, Nomura and EFG International. Athreya has more than two decades of banking expertise with ICICI Bank, DBS and most recently BNP Paribas. All three appointments are based in Singapore and report to Gautam Chadda, executive director – team head. The appointments reflect RBC Wealth Management Asia's commitment to expanding its presence in the Global South Asia Corridor.
