Global investor services group has appointed Wyn James as its new head of asset owners for Asia-Pacific. This is a newly-created role, and part of IQ-EQ’s engagement with institutional asset owners in the region, such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurers and family offices.

James, who is based in Singapore, previously held senior positions at MSCI/Burgiss, JP Morgan, RBC Capital Markets, Coutts and Merrill Lynch. His professional network spans Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. In all, he has worked in institutional financial services for almost three decades.

In his new role, James will report to Stuart Pinnington, IQ-EQ’s global head of asset owners, while also working with Neil Synnott, regional chief commercial officer, APAC, and the wider APAC leadership team led by regional CEO Sridhar Nagarajan.

“Bringing together IQ-EQ’s global service proposition and Wyn’s impressive regional experience and network creates a compelling proposition for asset owners throughout APAC,” Pinnington said.
