UBS Makes Raft Of Asia-Pacific Senior Wealth Management Appointments

has appointed several senior figures in its Asia-Pacific wealth management business, this news service can confirm. The changes take effect from 1 July.
For Taiwan, the Swiss bank has appointed Damien Hsiao as regional global wealth management (GWM) head of the country, overseeing domestic and international businesses.
Sherry Lin and Christine Lai have been named as co-heads for the GWM Taiwan Domestic business.
In Singapore, Peter Yang has been named head of GWM private wealth in the Asian city-state, succeeding Dominique Boer. Most recently, he held was market team head and deputy business sector head for GWM Singapore in Greater China.
Henry Su and Dominique Boer are leaving UBS to explore new opportunities.
Conrad Huber will become business sector head of GWM Philippines, with Kenny Ng, as deputy BSH of GWM Philippines. This adds to Huber’s leadership responsibilities across GWM Indonesia, Japan International and the bank’s “Next Generation” and “Global Connectivity” growth initiatives.
Elsewhere, UBS has appointed Andrew Bird as GWM Australia, expanding his remit to include head of GWM Australia International alongside his role as head of GWM Australia Domestic.
Vineet Mehta has been made deputy business sector head GWM APAC India International. Mehta has a functional reporting line to Michael Baechli, head GWM NRI and global NRI coordinator.
