Despite a difficult economic environment, generated a net profit of €87 million ($101 million) in the first six months of 2026, representing a rise of more than 18 per cent from €73 million in the corresponding period last year. The inflow of new clients continued leading to a new record level of total clients of 1.7 million. Client assets also climbed. This marks the best half-year financial results in the bank’s history, Saxo said in a statement. According to the bank, total income reached €375 million compared with €335 million in the same period the previous year. Client assets amounted to €153 billion against €118 billion in 2025 while the number of clients were1.7 million compared with 1.4 million clients in 2025. The half-year financial results reflect the bank’s commercial momentum and execution of its priorities. In 2026, trading activity remained robust, supported by positive sentiment in equity markets and heightened volatility in commodities such as oil and precious metals, the bank said in a statement. The global economic landscape continued to be characterised by geopolitical tensions and elevated macroeconomic uncertainty. Saxo Bank said it remained focused on growing and engaging its global partner and client base, strengthening its position, and investing in its platforms and products to support long-term profitable growth. In the period ahead, this will be underpinned by additional marketing investments, ongoing enhancements to the bank’s client offering, and continued investments in AI and business-critical areas. “I am very proud to present the best half-year financial results in the bank’s history,” Daniel Belfer, CEO of Saxo Bank, said. “The global investment culture remains strong, and it is encouraging to see so many new clients choosing Saxo to start their investment journey. At the same time, we continue to deepen our relationships with existing clients and partners, who are entrusting us with a growing share of their investments. We have seen solid growth in our client base, and I am both optimistic and confident that this positive development will continue.” Given the uncertain market conditions, including potential volatility, inflation, and changes to central bank statements on financial markets, Saxo Bank expects a net profit in the range of DKK 1,000 to 1,100 million ($1560 to 1710 million) in 2026. Last year, this news service spoke to Saxo about the work it does with external asset managers in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
