Swiss & Global Hires Join Asset Manager Service Team

Swiss & Global Asset Management, the manager of Julius Baer's funds, has set up a dedicated team to take care of independent asset managers and family offices in Switzerland. The firm has appointed Remo Badertscher and Markus Lienert to its Zurich-based sales unit to focus on this section of its client base.

Badertscher joins from MAN Investments where he was senior relationship manager. Before that he spent a number of years at UBS in Switzerland and abroad. Lienert also joins from MAN, where he looked after independent asset managers and banks in Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

“Independent asset managers play a key role in the Swiss financial sector … Working with them thus makes perfect sense and represents a natural progression of our business. There is scope for collaboration not only in the distribution of our actively-managed Julius Baer funds, but also in the area of private labelling,” Michele Porro, head of sales and distribution at Swiss & Global, said in a statement.
