Top Appointment At Sarasin For Singapore, Southeast Asia

Former
senior BNP Paribas wealth management executive Eric Morin has been
appointed as managing director and chief executive for Bank Sarasin in
its Singapore branch, and Southeast Asia, the Swiss private banking firm
said today. Eric Morin, who is based in Singapore, reports to Enid Yip, chief executive for Asia, Bank Sarasin said in a statement. At BNP Paribas, where Morin had worked since 1987, he was most
recently deputy CEO for Southeast Asia, market manager for international
wealth management and other Asian markets, and a member of the Asian
wealth Management executive committee. “Eric is a deeply respected private banker who has fostered and
managed a substantial business across key markets in Asia. He is a
proven strategic leader, having developed and implemented growth
strategies in the region,” Yip said. Morin relocated to Singapore in 2007, moving to the city-state from
Geneva, where he had been area manager, emerging markets, covering the
Asia, the Middle East, Turkey, Latin America and CIS countries since
2004. In various management positions with BNP Paribas Morin, a native of
France, has also been based in New Delhi, Bahrain and Paris.
