WealthBriefingAsia has just launched Portfolio Management Efficiencies: An Update on Singapore’s Wealth and Asset Management Industry, our second annual research project on this topic produced in partnership with SS&C Advent.

Among the topics discussed in the paper are recent technological innovations in portfolio management activity, the investment preferences Singapore’s institutions are now having to cater to and the effect compliance obligations are having on operational efficiency today.

As ever, a panel of experts from right across the industry was convened to give cutting-edge insights on the challenges and opportunities facing organisations, and what forward-thinking firms are doing to cut costs and differentiate their offerings.

Key among its conclusions are that Singapore’s wealth and asset management organisations are at the beginning of a wave of technology investment as firms grapple with a proliferation of manual workarounds in portfolio management activities; and that recruitment pressures and the ever-heavier compliance burden are making these enhancements more urgent by the day.
