HSBC Private Bank Hires Ex-Credit Suisse Man As Investment Counsellor

This publication reports on latest moves and hires in Asia-Pacific private banking.

HSBC Private Bank has confirmed that a former senior manager at Credit Suisse Private Bank has taken up the new role of investment counsellor in Hong Kong.

Shawn Yin reports to Jackie Mau, head of investment counselling, Asia, HSBC Private Banking.

Yin, who was head of portfolio solutions (HK) at Credit Suisse Private Bank, has been on a period of gardening leave since the end of last year, according to his LinkedIn profile.

At Credit Suisse, he and his team were responsible for acquiring and maintaining portfolio solutions (both discretionary and advisory mandates) for the bank’s ultra-high net worth clients.

Previously, Yin was an investment specialist at UBS Private Bank. Prior to that, he was at Citibank Global Markets, distributing investment products to private wealth, family offices, corporate clients and insurance companies.
