EXCLUSIVE: New Private Banking Head At One Of Singapore's

This publication has an exclusive report on a top-level private banking moves at one of the "big three" Singapore-based banking groups.

The private banking arm of Singapore’s United Overseas Bank has appointed Ong Yeng Fang as its regional chief executive and head of private banking, this publication understands. She reports to Eddie Khoo, divisional head of retail and private banking.

A former market head at Julius Baer, before joining Merrill Lynch as the head of Southeast Asia markets, she returned to Julius Baer when that Swiss bank took on the assets of Merrill Lynch in the recent acquisition. She acted as an advisor to Julius Baer’s CEO, Boris Collardi.

This publication learned of the move from a source familiar with the matter. UOB declined to comment when contacted by this publication late last week.

Recently, Kevin Ong stepped down as the head of private banking, UOB, Southeast Asia, to join ANZ Private Bank in a similar capacity, as previously reported.
