Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - SANNE

The latest senior wealth management moves in the Asia-Pacific region.

SANNE, the global provider of alternative asset and corporate business services, has named a senior business developer director for Japan, following a few days after it appointed a similar person to drive business in Mauritius.

The firm has appointed Makoto Nagao, who has more than 35 years' experience in the financial services sector. He had a "lengthy career" with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, SANNE said in a statement. At SMFG, Nagao was general manager in areas such as Shinjuku Corporate Business and the Equity Portfolio Department within SMBC, part of the SMFG organisation. From 2014 to 2017 he was the executive senior managing director at Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management, one of Japan’s largest asset managers, responsible for business planning.

A few days earlier, SANNE named a new director and head of business development for India and Mauritius - Varounen Goinden - based in the firm's Mauritius office.

Together with country head Mark Bennett, Nagao will oversee the development of new business for Japan and forge strategic relations with new partners.
