The Asian business arm of the UK wealth manager has announced top-level management changes.
UK-listed St James’s
Place has appointed one of its senior figures, Oliver
Wickham, as Asia partnership director. He has been head of
business for Hong Kong.
In his new role, he will continue his regulatory
responsibilities as CEO St James’s Place (Hong Kong) Ltd in
addition to taking responsibility for the SJP Partnership across
Asia, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
Under the change, Gary Harvey, CEO of St James’s Place (Singapore) Private Limited, will step down from the business later in the year, after wrapping up several projects and providing a handover, to focus on other opportunities. He has led the business over the past five years. During his tenure, the firm became a CMS Licence holder, and ran the business during the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In May last year Eight Wealth International, a principal partner practice of wealth management group St James’s Place, appointed former senior Schroders, UBS and Credit Suisse figure Simon Lints as a strategic advisor based in Singapore.
In late 2018 SJP joined Expatland Global Network in Singapore to
provide wealth management advice to its clients. The Expatland
Network, which was launched to help expats abroad city-by-city,
is already up and running in Sydney, Los Angeles, Auckland,
London and Singapore. SJP has been present in Asia since
2014.
